Mason

The village of Mason was surveyed and platted by George Wright in 1853. It was incorporated in 1865. The railroad contributed to the growth of Mason. It was once known as Bristol, until the railroad came through Mason and Bristol ceased to exist. It is located in Mason Township.

Watson

John L. Barnard surveyed and platted the land for the village of Watson in 1857. He had also owned the land. The Illinois Central Railroad created the village. The name for the village is thought to have come from a railroad official named Watson. It is located in Watson Township.
